Bijoux is a very sweet, white and red Papillon.  She still has some of her puppy fur which is soft to touch, but appears to be developing the longer fringes of Papillon hair on her ears, chest and legs.  Nose, eye-rims, lips and paw pads are a delicate pink liver color. She usually carries her tail high over her body, enjoys a good romp in the yard and is adventurous and eager to play with other dogs.  Although she’s a little shy with people, she will happily nap on your lap or sit still for brushing and attention.  She takes a bath well and has a quiet resilient personality, seemingly unaffected by stern voices or loud noises. She willingly follows our Chihuahua to the potty area in the far back corner of the yard a number of times a day, but needs more potty training if allowed free roam of the house. I was told she was raised with a dog door and had free access to go out whenever she chose. Bijoux is excellent with our eight year old daughter, generally ignores cats and really wants the company of other dogs.  She seldom makes a sound (even when the doorbell is rung), but when she does her bark it's not a small dog’s yipping but more of a high pitched talking “Urr-Rrur-urr”!
