Barbie is a nearly 8 year old chihuahua who was surrendered to CPP after her owner had to go into a nursing home.  She desperately wants to find another calm home where she can be a treasured lap dog and get plenty of petting. 


Barbie gets along with other dogs, but she likes to be queen of the food dish in her foster home.  She definitely would do best being fed separately until everyone has settled in.  She mainly has been around other small dogs, but she was fine with most of the larger dogs at PetsMart adoptions.

We don't have any information about whether or not Barbie has been around children.  Because of her age and the presumed quiet household with her owner, we are recommending that Barbie only go to a home with older children who can be calm and gentle with her.

We do not know if Barbie was fully housetrained or if she has ever lived with cats.
