Benji is an 8-10 month old chow mix who followed a vet tech from the CPP vet home one afternoon. After searching for several weeks to find his owner, everyone decided it was time to just look for a new one for this friendly, fuzzy fellow. Benji has been shaved for the summer, but he has a thick, plushy coat when it is fully grown in.
He was friendly and playful with the dogs he met at PetsMart on Sunday, but Benji does seem to prefer females to males and doesn't like it when they get in his face and bark at him. He tolerated being crated for a while, but at the end of the day he did manage to escape from a wire crate when he was ready for attention.
Benji definitely needs training and structure to help him reach his full potential. He has a nice personality, but he needs to focus his adolescent energy into people pleasing behaviors. He appears to already know sit and is treat motivated.
We do not know how Benji is with cats, and he is probably not housebroken.
The adoption fee is $150 for each dog. (These prices are subject to change without notice.)
