Krista is two years old spayed female yellow lab and blue heeler cross who came to CPP as a puppy. She is a shy, sweet soul who has grown up in the country, so she needs a patient home who can help socialize her to the rest of the world. She is very timid with most men and would need a patient home to help her work through this issue. Krista enjoys walks although she will start pulling to get back to the house near the end. She also really liked having a den in her foster mom's house and initially spent a lot of time in one of the small crates. She needs a small space that she can take over, so she has her personal spot to feel safe. While she is an extremely gentle dog, overly exuberant children frighten her, so Krista needs a family with older children who understand how to be gentle. Krista is very gentle with cats and would do well with them.  Krista needs to be placed with a family that has another dog to feel comfortable.
